What we are aiming for

We build this site to meet WCAG 2.2 level AA, and we believe most of it does. This is our own assessment rather than a conformance claim: there has been no independent audit.

What works

Checked against the current build rather than remembered:

• Every page has a skip link, a main landmark, a declared language, and headings in order with no levels skipped.
• Everything is reachable and operable by keyboard. Both dialogs trap focus, close on Escape, and return focus to whatever opened them. The mobile menu does the same.
• Text meets or beats the 4.5:1 contrast minimum. This is not a claim we re-check by eye: an automated test asserts the ratio of every brand colour pair on each build, and the build fails if one drops below the threshold.
• Every form field has a real label and the right autofill token. Errors are announced, not just coloured.
• The Site Records Scorecard moves focus to each new question and announces which of the twelve you are on, so answering a question does not leave a screen reader user in silence.
• When a form is replaced by a confirmation, focus moves to the confirmation, so it is read rather than missed.
• If your system asks for reduced motion, every animation and transition on the site is switched off.
• Decorative graphics are hidden from assistive technology rather than announced as meaningless images.
• The guide contents list uses a native disclosure element, so it works with JavaScript switched off entirely.

Downloads

The three Scorecard packs are tagged PDFs. The two guide tools are not yet: they declare their language and title, but they carry no structure tree, so a screen reader has to work out the reading order from the layout. Ask us and we will send you the same content in a format that works for you. No charge, and you do not need to explain why.

Email info@sitenotepro.ie or use the contact form. Tell us the page, what you were trying to do, and what happened. If you can, say what you were using, but do not let not knowing stop you writing.

If something is blocking you from getting information you need, say so and we will send it to you directly while we fix the page.

Where we stand legally

We are publishing this because it is useful, not because we are required to. The Web Accessibility Directive applies to public sector bodies, which we are not. The European Accessibility Act has applied since June 2025, and it exempts microenterprises providing services, meaning fewer than ten people and under €2 million turnover. We are below both, and the site does not sell online.

Two things would end that exemption, and both are on the roadmap: growing past ten people or €2 million turnover, and selling through the site rather than by enquiry. We would rather build to the standard now than retrofit it at the point it becomes an obligation.

The product is separate

This statement covers the sitenotepro.ie website only. The SiteNotePro application is a different codebase and is still being built. It will get its own assessment before firms are working in it, and this page will link to it.
